For a semester-long project at Columbia College, I was tasked with redesigning the interface of an existing website. I chose Micro Center.
In order to determine the most problematic aspects of the website, I created user personas to get a feel for what the site's users would be looking to do. Then, I conducted user testing with three different subjects of varying technological experience. I analyzed the results and came up with several goals for my redesign.
I created new wireframes for three of the basic page formats: the home page, a product listings page and an individual product page. Finally, I created a comprehensive prototype of how the website would actually look, focusing on retaining the branding while improving the user interface and experience.
